Back pain is often caused by muscle strain and repeated strenuous exercises; poor posture can also result in damage to the back and can happen when a person is quite young. Most spinal problems are a result of lifting heavy weights but they can also be caused by lifting even light weights incorrectly, the pain is usually experienced in the lower back. Many people are now turning to other methods of gaining back pain relief which do not include the use of drugs.

Stretching the back is often the simplest method of relief, stretching your back gently can relax your back muscles preventing them from becoming tense.
